Big Ten Network update

Just in...the Big Ten Network has reached a deal with some Insight Cable markets (regretfully not mine). They have reached a deal with Evansville, IN; Columbus, OH and Northern Kentucky. The channel in Evansville and Columbus will be offered on the classic package while the channel will be part of a sports package in northern Kentucky.

I'm actually optimistic that the Big Ten Network will be available very soon. It is safe to assume that this kind of arrangement is how it is going to do down. That basically the channel will be offered in the classic package where there is a large Big Ten fanbase. Where there isn't (like in Big East, SEC or Pac-10 regions)--than the channel is going to be offered in a sports package.

What is somewhat puzzling is that all future announcements revolving other Insight markets will be announced by Comcast.

I'm not really sure what that means...but I think this entire fiasco is going to be over very soon.
